October marks the launch of Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2016, a milestone release of Microsofts business management solution for small and mid-sized organisations. The new release is optimised to help customers manage their operations more effectively, enhance productivity of mobile workforce and provide access to greater cloud computing power.
Dynamics NAV 2016 is another step in Microsoft’s ambition to reinvent productivity and business processes. With enhanced mobile, business insight and cloud capabilities, this new edition brings together business applications, data and devices to help staff make the most of their time, automate daily processes, increase sales and enhance collaboration.
Optimised for small and mid-sized businesses, Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2016 is quick to deploy, easy to use and has the power to support business growth. Wayne Morris, corporate vice president of Microsoft's Dynamics, said “SMBs worldwide are looking to lower costs and compete more effectively with larger organisations, and are turning to technology to help streamline processes, empower workers with insights anywhere and on any device, and scale securely through the power of the cloud.”
New features in NAV 2016 include enhanced business insights, powered by Microsoft Power BI, and improvements in workflows, enabling users to access and manage real-time business information and speed up daily processes. Added to this, the new edition includes closer integration with Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Office 365, allowing instant access to sales and customer data as well as everyday business applications such as Excel or Word. With extended connectivity, NAV 2016 allows users to integrate with other cloud-based services.
With new streamlined and easy to use mobile native applications, Dynamics NAV 2016 empowers users to work on smartphones and tablets running iOS and Android operating systems. Added to this, Dynamics NAV 2016 can be deployed on Microsoft's Azure SQL cloud-powered database-as-a-service offering. As an alternative, Xperience Dynamics, an Xperience Group business, has its own UK datacentres offering a more local hosting option for NAV 2016.
Alastair Sinclair, Business Development Manager at Xperience Dynamics comments, “Construction, contracting and services industries are extremely competitive, therefore it is important for businesses to remain effective and have access to real-time business intelligence. New Microsoft Power BI dashboard enables greater analysis of information to improve and optimize decisions and performance. Added to this, enhanced cloud and mobile capabilities empower staff to be more productive when away from the office.”
